David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
