The Opening Game Pass Additions of 2026 Show Xbox Remains Committed.
In numerous discussions, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities have started writing about PlayStation as a new development. The past year represented complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with compelling titles on its premier subscription.
The Available Now Titles
The two games currently accessible today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.
Upcoming Headline Games
On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Intriguing Niche Additions
But even the smaller games set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, drops on Jan. 7th — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Well-Rounded Collection
Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service by themselves. However, this batch of games are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — which makes them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
